Dear All,

As the weather cools, the days shorten and training nights are hitting their full strides we welcome another season of Football. It’s one of the most exciting times to be apart of this amazing community who strive to provide an opportunity and pathway for you to participate in the Elite football program of the Riverina. Not only do we believe that you will you develop strong on field skills, but off field friendships will flourish and this clubs environment is designed for you to grow and strengthen your values and sense of belonging within our community.

I would like to extend a warm welcome on behalf of the whole WCW committee to all our new and returning players, parents and supporters.

By now you should all have correspondence from your respective Program Managers and Coaches.
Trainings have been organised, uniforms are ordered and the social calendar is starting to fill up.

With a stable board, we have grown stronger to bring the club together, tighter as one. Our strategic plan is in place to further enhance your club and fund for Capital improvements. Further investment into developing the best quality coaches in the area is always a large focus for us.

You may have noticed works that have started at Gissing Oval. Currently the amphitheatre seating is getting repaired, replaced where needed and fixed. The hedges have been removed from around the perimeter and we hope the fencing will be replaced soon.
WCW were successful in a $500,000 government grant, with the help of Wagga City Council for a brand new amenities block with a seperate set of change rooms for our female participants, a refresh to our exisiting amenities block and updates to our public restrooms and referee rooms. Tenders are expected to go out mid season for works to commence at the closure of the winter season 23. We will continue to apply and fundraise for upcoming grants to improve lighting, playing surfaces and more fields for our growing community.

You will see a fresh wave of new sponsors and committed, established and longstanding sponsors joining us in 2023. Please take the time to thank our sponsors and ultilise there great products and services when you can, as without them, we cannot provide the opportunities that we do.

The Committee is determined to strengthen the foundations of the “off field” position your Club. This is to provide our Coaches,Team Managers, Parents and Players the best opportunities to achieve their goals.

The Committee wish all our WCW family the best for the Season. We know the hard work, effort, determination and dedication shown by our Players, Coaches, Parents and Supporters will be worthwhile. We Thankyou in advance for the commitment you have for your Club.
